Hello again, WSHC family!
We're extremely happy to announce that the Governor's latest "Healthy Washington" plan allows us to re-open the club on Monday, January 11th. With the recent announcement from the Governor, we have received the following specific guidelines on what will be allowed during phase 1 of our reopening.
Masks or approved face coverings must be worn at all times, in all areas of the club. This includes while you are exercising in the weight training areas, cardio areas, group classes and aquatics classes. Approved face coverings are solid material masks, face bandanas and gaiters. Face shields are not an acceptable substitute without a cloth covering (per the Governor's mandate).
Reservations will be recommended to access the club. We will do our best to accommodate walk-ins, but members who reserve spots online will be given priority access. Please make a reservation online BEFORE arriving at the club. You can make a reservation (limited to 45 minutes - again this is per the Governors mandates) on our online member portal.
Please refrain from booking back-to-back reservations. You can book a scheduled time as far as 7 days in advance. Should you need to cancel a reservation, you can do so via the member portal (under My Schedule section) up to 15 minutes before your start time. If you have any questions about this process, please call the club at 206-556-3280. Please do not email us your cancellation since we cannot guarantee that we will be able to respond in a timely manner. Remember, we have strict capacity guidelines so please be courteous to all of your fellow members and cancel as early as you can so that we can open up a spot for another member.
Group Classes, including aquatics classes, will be reduced to 45 minutes and will also require pre-registration online via the member portal prior to class. If you are unable to book a class it is likely because the capacity for that class has been reached.
Membership billing will resume.
- If your bill date is the 1st, you will be billed your normal dues on February 1st. This includes a 15 day credit from November, and 5 free days.
- If your bill date is the 20th, you will be billed your normal dues on January 20th. This includes a 4 day credit from November, and 5 free days.
As of Monday, January 11th at 5am, we will be reopening with normal club hours as follows:
The following areas will remain closed:
- Steam room, sauna, and hot tub
- Locker rooms
- Kids club
I know that this is still a difficult time and continually changing schedules and procedures can be frustrating. As someone who has been in the fitness industry for more than 30 years, I can say that this has been the most challenging time I've ever seen for our staff and members. We all share the concerns, frustrations, and confusions in this rapidly changing situation.
The support, patience, and genuine compassion we've continued to see in our community is inspiring, to say the least, and I'll be the first to welcome everyone back with open arms when we're able to safely do so.

The West Seattle Health Club is a locally owned and operated, full service health club conveniently located just off the West Seattle Bridge in Seattle on Andover Street. Our 56,000sq. ft. club offers members a wide variety of amenities and options including a 7 lane, 25 yard lap swimming pool; a 45ft tall rock climbing wall; 3 floors of cutting edge fitness equipment; over 85 different fitness classes per week, dedicated women’s only workout area, safe and secure childcare and on-site, professional spa services, as well as a café and member lounge, to name a few.
